The service's main project is the UKP25 million, HLF funded, Museum

Your workload will draw from collections across all departments of
the Museums, Galleries and Archives. You will work with other
members of the conservation team and Museum of Bristol project team.
You will be involved with condition checking, treatment programmes,
collection care, specification for mount-makers, etc, and will also
be responsible for conservation elements of exhibit installation.

You will enjoy working to tight deadlines and budgets and have
excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
Grade 12 conservators will be expected to manage others, including
interns and volunteers, and you may be called on to facilitate work
commissioned from free-lance conservators. As conservator or
assistant conservator you will be part of a lively,
multi-disciplinary conservation department, which values colleagues
with a co-operative and positive outlook.

Bristol's Museums, Galleries and Archives supports PACR
accreditation and expects applicants to be accredited or working
towards accreditation.
