Position at Historic Royal Palaces

From: Jo Elner <jo.elner<-a>
Date: Friday, October 24, 2008
Documentation Registrar
Historic Royal Palaces

UKP21,282 - 12 month appointment.

As our base of specialist information grows, so does our need for
comprehensive access systems. You'll introduce and develop these
on-line systems--and through them, offer enormous support to the
important work of our conservators and other customers. You will
have total ownership of this process--from design and integration
with our other collections management systems, to actual set up and
data processing. Moreover, you will make sure that we are
continually developing and updating these systems, and deliver
day-to-day enabling services across all of our records.

You will need a degree in Information Science or similar--ideally
complemented with a Masters qualification--and experience working
with collections record management systems. You will also offer an
extensive research background and knowledge of collections record
management systems and museum or library documentation search
systems. Skills in MS Office, Photoshop, communicating,
prioritising and basic administration are all also important.
