Potential secondment opportunity

The historic collections of our Historic Royal Palaces are windows
to the past. By enhancing our conservation expertise, you'll be
ensuring people can enjoy them well into the future.

Working within five of the greatest palaces ever built, and based at
Hampton Court Palace, you'll lead a 10-strong team working to
conserve some of the world's finest collections and decorative
interiors. As a specialist in preventive conservation and
collections care, you'll be capable of masterminding the delivery of
a complex and well-established programme of preventive risk
management. Whatever the project, you must ensure work is carried
out to the highest standard by managing your highly skilled staff.
You'll also be an important part of the section's management team,
who work together to influence best conservation practice within
this busy commercial heritage environment. Focused on solutions, you
will contribute to our communication and training mandate as well as
our project culture and ambitious palace-wide re-presentation plan.

Historic Royal Palaces will consider applications involving
secondment from other organisations to fill this position, offering
a unique opportunity for an advanced level specialist to refresh
their knowledge and enhance ours at this centre of excellence.

Your degree in Conservation or Collections Care will be supported by
substantial experience and an advanced technical knowledge of
preventive conservation and risk management. You'll combine
technical expertise with a team approach, flexibility and strong
interpersonal, managerial and customer service skills. You will also
need a proven record in delivering project management work plans and
mentoring others.

Historic Royal Palaces encourages PACR accreditation.
