ASOR Session: Organic Residue Analysis in Archaeology

The American Schools of Oriental Research invites you to submit an
abstract for an "Organic Residue Analysis in Archaeology" session at
the annual meeting held November 14-17, 2012 in Chicago, Illinois.

Organic residue analysis has been increasingly used as a tool to
answer archaeological questions about diet and cuisine, but also
more recently cult and crafts manufacture, that is to say,
activities that may have left behind traces of organic residue. In
this session, papers will present a variety of methods for analyzing
organic residues in archaeological contexts. Discussion will focus
on critiquing different techniques and addressing present
limitations and potential complications, as well as avenues for
future research.

The abstract submission deadline is February 15, 2012. Additional
details can be found on the ASOR call for papers site

We look forward to seeing you there,
