Museum of Art - Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301
March 8-9, 2012

Instructor: Susan Mathisen, President, SAM Fundraising Solutions

Sponsor: Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, Seminole Tribe of Florida

You have a collection, an object, or a building that requires
conservation or specialized collections care. The need is there,
the manpower is there, the money is not. The question is, "how will
you find the funding?"

The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum of the Seminole Tribe of Florida with the
partnership of the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, will be hosting
this two-session workshop. At the workshop, participants will be
introduced to fundraising for collections care. Topics covered will
include telling the project's "story" and making the case for
collections care, demonstrating project impact, types of funders for
conservation and preservation projects, prospect research, and grant
writing tips. Participants will be asked to draft a sample proposal
that will be discussed in the second session.

The workshop cost will be $75. To register for the workshop or if
you have any questions, please contact
