offers the same linens at up to 40% less, but with minimum orders
between 25 and 50 yards, depending on the material. Samples from

here as Cotlin.
- Colophon Hand Bookbindery, 1902 North 44th Street, Seattle WA
98103 (206/633-1759), now carries the paper- supported bookcloths
from Bamberger Kaliko GmbH in Bamberg, West Germany. They will honor
orders for as little as a single yard per color. They will provide a
swatch book for $2.00.
- One of the oldest and one of the few remaining parchment makers
in England is William Cowley Parchment Works, Newport Pagnell,
Bucks., England MK16 0DB, established in 1870. They offer sheepskin
parchments, as wall as calfskin and goatskin vellums, and will
provide samples and a price list by addressing a request to Mr. J.
Visscher, Manager. They are happy to supply skins of the desired
