The Alkaline Paper Advocate

Volume 4, Number 1
Feb 1991

100% Alkaline Companies

All of the fine paper (freesheet) made by the following companies is neutral or alkaline, as of January 1991. Lyons Falls' paper is not technically freesheet, because it uses a sulfite pulp with moderate levels of lignin, but aging tests have shown that this does not impair its permanence.

Two companies that would be in this list if they did not still make a few acid grades are Parsons, with one mill and a production capacity of 35 tpd, and Warren (part of Scott), with three mills and a capacity of 2535 tpd.
