The benefits of becoming a dues-paying member of the Architecture Specialty Group include: • being involved in a network of peers, including the privelege of joining a closed email distribution list and exclusive LinkedIn group, both offering a forum for exchange of ideas and posting of conservation-related questions; • invitations to ASG-sponsored events or educational opportunities specific to the conservation of architectural materials; • the opportunity to present at the AIC Annual Meeting & Conference; ASG dues support the development of a high-quality architectural conservation program at the AIC Annual Meeting each year. Experienced professionals who can demonstrate competency in accepted conservation practices and who commit to practicing within the guidelines of the AIC Code of Conduct may apply for Professional Associate (PA) status or Fellow status, and derive the additional benefits and recognition that these distinctions entail. Students enrolled in a conservation or historic preservation program are encouraged to become involved in the Architecture Specialty Group; subsidized student memberships are available.
