ethyl acetate

A colorless, volatile, highly flammable liquid ester (CH 3 CO 2 C 2 H 5 ), prepared from ethyl alcohol and acetic acid. It is used as a solvent and is not dangerously toxic if handled properly. (54 , 235 )
