AUTHOR INFORMATION

CATHERINE SEASE is head of the Division of Conservation at Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago. She has an A.B. from Bryn Mawr College and a B.Sc. in conservation from the Institute of Archaeology, University of London. She taught in the Conservation Department at the Institute of Archaeology prior to joining the staff of the Objects Conservation Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1979, where she was the head conservator for the installation of the Rockefeller Wing of Primitive Art. She worked privately in New York before joining the staff of the Anthropology Department at Field Museum in 1986. She has worked on numerous excavations in Britain, Greece, and the Middle East.
