12 CONCLUSIONS

Evaluation of the results of the washing studies shows that five surfactants are suitable as substitutes for Synperonic N. These are the anionic surfactants Hostapon T and Orvus WA paste and the nonionic surfactants Dehypon LS45, Imbentin C135/070, and

Synperonic 91/6. As the cloud point of Dehypon LS45 is 20–22C, it should not be used at more than about 2C above that temperature.
