Denise Domergue will co-star once again in the popular performance by Guy de Cointet on February 22nd at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. "Tell Me" has played to date in Albuquerque, New Mexico and in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Rosamund Felsen Gallery.
Tatyana Thompson, after studying painting conservation in Europe for four years, has returned to Los Angeles. Her studies included the conservation program at the Sorbonne in Paris, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Dienst Verspreide Rijkscollecties in the Hague. She is presently working privately and on a Paul Sample wall mural in the Redondo Beach Post Office under the direction of Myrna Saxe.
Judith Rieniets is currently working with Teri Oikawa-Picante on a part-time basis at the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco. They are concentrating on treating large scale paintings due to an increase in space and staff.
Betsy Court, a third-year student from Winterthur is spending seven months at Balboa Art Conservation Center as the second-half of her intern year. She spent her first half at the National Collection of Fine Arts in Washington, D.C.
The Balboa Art Conservation Canter is happy to report that they have been accepted by the San Diego Board of Parks and Recreation as one of the five institutions to receive space in Balboa Park. The old Electric Building, recently destroyed by fire, is to be reconstructed for this purpose. BACC plans to move to its new area by the spring of 1981, doubling the amount of space they presently occupy.
Ms. Ruth Norton, an Objects Conservator at the Pacific Regional Conservation Center, has been granted a leave of absence for nine months to help run a training course at the National Museum of the Philippines. The training course is being funded by the Ford Foundation.
Mr. William Phippen, who came to the Center as an intern student from the Peabody Museum in Salem, will replace Ms. Norton during her absence.
Ms. Natalie Firnhaber, graduate of the Conservation Program of the Institute of Archaeology in London, joined the staff of the Pacific Regional Conservation Center as Objects Conservator in August.
